INTRODUCTION

StatShift Fitness ("StatShift", "we", "us", or "our") operates the StatShift Fitness mobile application and the website www.statshiftfitness.com.

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have over your personal data. By using the StatShift app or website, you agree to this policy.

DATA WE COLLECT

We collect the following categories of personal data when you use StatShift:

GOOGLE HEALTH CONNECT

StatShift optionally integrates with Google Health Connect to read your daily step count. This integration is entirely optional — you choose whether to grant access.

• We only request read access to step count data. We never write health data back.
• Step data is used solely to award XP for daily walking activity.
• Step data is stored in your StatShift profile on our secure servers to calculate your progress.
• You can revoke Health Connect access at any time in your Android settings.
• We do not share your health data with any third parties.

StatShift's use of Google Health Connect data adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy and is limited to providing in-app features directly visible to you.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

StatShift uses the following trusted third-party services to operate:

• Firebase Authentication (Google) — Manages secure login and account creation. Your password is never stored in plain text.
• Firebase Firestore (Google) — Cloud database that stores your profile, workout logs, XP, stats, quests, and clan data.
• Firebase Analytics (Google) — Anonymous usage analytics to understand how features are used and improve the app.
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — Automatic crash reporting to help us fix bugs quickly. Crash reports do not contain personally identifiable information.

All Firebase services are operated by Google LLC and subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Data processed by Firebase may be stored on servers within the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United States, with appropriate safeguards in place.

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

We use your data exclusively to provide and improve the StatShift app:

• To create and manage your player account and profile
• To calculate XP, levels, stats, and rank based on your workouts
• To track daily and weekly quest progress
• To display leaderboards (friends, clan, and global)
• To enable clan creation, membership, and social features
• To convert step count into XP when Health Connect is enabled
• To send important in-app notifications about your progress
• To diagnose and fix technical issues in the app
• To analyze aggregated, anonymous usage patterns to improve features

DATA RETENTION

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data associated with your profile — including workout history, XP, clan memberships, and account credentials — will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Anonymized, aggregated analytics data (which cannot identify you) may be retained longer for improving the service.

YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right of Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to Rectification — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to Erasure — Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
• Right to Restriction — Request that we restrict how we process your data.
• Right to Portability — Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
• Right to Object — Object to processing of your data for certain purposes.
• Right to Withdraw Consent — Withdraw any consent you have given at any time.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

StatShift is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at info@statshiftfitness.com and we will promptly delete the account.

DATA SECURITY

We take the security of your data seriously. StatShift uses industry-standard measures to protect your personal data:

• All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
• Passwords are never stored in plain text — Firebase Authentication handles secure credential storage
• Firebase Firestore applies security rules so users can only access their own data
• Access to backend systems is restricted to authorized personnel only

While we apply strong protections, no system can be 100% guaranteed secure. If you suspect a security issue, please report it to info@statshiftfitness.com immediately.

POLICY UPDATES

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the app evolves. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email.

Continued use of StatShift after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
